Dear Neighbors,
Probably no local institution has a greater impact on our community
than Kishwaukee College. Kish trains and educates nurses,
computer specialists, electronic technicians and many more highly
skilled professionals for the workforce, while preparing other
students for admission to prestigious universities throughout
the nation.
As you may know, the College is supported by local and state funds,
as well as tuition and fees. However, you may be unaware
that current appropriations provide funding only for basic operations
of the College. These traditional sources of funding have
not kept pace with the robust growth of Kishwaukee College and
the increasing needs of its students and community. Therefore,
the Kishwaukee College Foundation is embarking on an ambitious
Endowment Campaign to maintain the excellence in education our
community expects and deserves.
The Kishwaukee College Foundation represents the difference between
adequacy, as provided by local and state funds, and excellence,
that only private investment can provide. The future will
demand the very best. That means reaching out to those who
cannot afford college, keeping pace with technology and delivering
the highest quality training the local economy requires. Success
in this effort will enable Kishwaukee College to meet important
immediate needs and will build the College’s long term capacity
to address future needs of community residents.
We hope you will join us in becoming a part of the Endowment Campaign. No
investment will produce more significant dividends for our community’s
economic health and our neighbors’ quality of life.
Sincerely,
Dr. Thomas Choice
